Hello,
This form is for all Deakin ITE students who wish to register their interest in the Pre-Service Teacher Paid Placement Grant in 2025.

This survey does not replace the InPlace requirements. 

• This PPG Expression of Interest form will be considered in order of receipt.
• Please note, that we cannot guarantee a specific outcome in any instance.
• As part of your studies, we may be required to share some of your data with the Department of Education/Victorian Catholic Education Authority and key organising staff at the university. 
• Students will separately need to apply for funding from the Department of Education or Catholic Education Authority
• We encourage students to consider their whole course, the advice of their Course Director and the realities of living remotely during placement, i.e. you will need your own car and accommodation.
• If you do decide to apply for PPG, we encourage you to consider regions where Deakin has substantial and additional support in place, such as the Wimmera (~100km around Horsham) or Warrnambool. 

2025 placements 

Students are advised to enrol in all 2025 placement units as early as possible.  This Expression of Interest form must be completed by the deadline advised by your Placement Officer.

2025 survey closing dates:

Term 1 – September 20, 2024
Term 2 – January 17, 2025
Term 3 – April 18, 2025
Term 4 – July 4, 2025
 

Please note that enrolled students who do not complete this form before the deadline will be placed as per our standard practice.  Placement details will be released two weeks before placement begins. Remote/regional placements (as part of PPG) will be released as early as feasible.

 

📣 New option for 2025:

We are pleased to advise that the Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA) are now offering PPG payments within designated regional Catholic schools. If your PPG application is approved and you are placed within an eligible  Catholic school, you will receive further communication from the VCEA on how to apply for payments.
