What does the research involve?
The primary aim of this research project is to investigate the impact of working from home on productivity and wellbeing. This will be achieved through examining how contact with nature as well as work-family conflict relate to employee wellbeing and productivity outcomes. The purpose of this study is to conduct research that can be utilised to provide recommendations to organisations and employees to maximise the productivity and wellbeing of Australians working from home.


Participation in this study involves the completion of an online questionnaire. The questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes to complete but may take longer if you choose to include additional descriptive information.

Eligibility for involvement in the research
To be able to participate in this study you must be over the age of 18, living in Australia, and working from home for at least 1 hour a week.

Confidentiality, privacy and consenting to participate in the project and withdrawing from the research
Participation in this research is voluntary. Your consent to participate in this project is obtained through you clicking “I consent” at the bottom of the page which will then proceed with the survey. All data collected is confidential and shall not be shared with anyone outside the research team. Privacy is assured as no identifying information is requested or collected as part of the questionnaire. As such, it is not possible to withdraw from the survey after you have submitted any responses.

Possible benefits and risks to participants
You may benefit indirectly from this research as it is intended to inform organisations and governments about the factors impacting productivity and wellbeing when working from home. 
This information might be used to inform working from home policies and procedures to allow employees and employers to maximise wellbeing and productivity when working from home.
 
This survey includes questions about psychological wellbeing and work-family conflict that may induce some minor discomfort. Payment
No payment is available for completion of this study.  

Storage of data
All data will be stored online in a secure database hosted by Qualtrics and stored for the duration of the research project. The research and the research data will be monitored weekly by the Principle Investigator. The data will be analysed using software specific for the requirements of the study and destroyed five years after the final publication of the research outcomes. Data will be stored on a secure drive and will be accessible only to the research team.

Use of data for other purposes
The data may be used for projects where ethics approval has been granted. Only aggregate de-identified data will be used for other projects where ethics approval has been granted.

Results
Research findings may be presented at a conference, in journal articles, and will be produced in a thesis format. If requested, a copy of any publication arising from the study will be provided by contacting the Principle Researcher Dr. Tristan Snell (t.snell@deakin.edu.au).
