We invite you to complete this survey to help us understand how schools in Victoria procure, use and dispose of food and how COVID-19 restrictions has impacted your school’s food related programs. Please note, if your school does NOT have a canteen, we would still like you to complete the survey. The results of the survey will help to identify opportunities for Farm-to-School programs.  A Farm-to-School Program brings local produce into schools and teaches students about nutrition through fun, experiential learning. In this survey, we want to find out more about 4 food themes at your school, including:

1. Food growing practices: if you grow fruits or vegetables or keep chickens for example

2. Food preparation and school canteens: this includes when and where students eat and how the canteen is managed.

3. School food disposal practices including where you dispose of food waste.

4. The impacts COVID-19, if any, on your school food system and the support your school needs in this space.

Deakin University ethics have approved this study [HEAG-H 186_2020]. Please note that participation in this research project is voluntary. Your participation in this survey will remain anonymous. Responding to this survey should take approximately 15 minutes.
